Have a 86 Fleetwood Brougham which the IES lights will not turn off, it started as a once in a while thing and I could turn them off by opening either one of the front doors but now just stay on, haved pulled the fuse which does not fix the problem!! Any suggestions before I go to the dealer?

Check All The Fuses, If A Fuse Is Blown On Another Circuit, It Will Feed Back And Cause The Dome Lights To Be On Dimly. Notice I Said Dimly. If They Are Bright , I Would Check A Door Jamb Switch. Also I've Seen A Fuse Blow Because Some Type Of Metal Was In A Cigar Lighter Socket. Tin Foil, Gum Wrapper, Dime Etc. Ck All Sockets. Also I Remember Something About A Timer Relay For The Dome Lights, But You Would Need A Factory Service Manual To Locate And Diagnose. Hope This Helps, Bill.
