Have a 2002 Cadillac Seville. Have been issues with the ignition. I have to keep repeatedly turning the key off and on and it normally cranks right over after awhile. The last three days it hasn't.

Which is it ??? Seville, Deville, or Deville Touring Sedan ? You name all 3 in your post - it makes a difference in switches and engine controls.

Some of these cars had problems with the ignition switch - not the lock cylinder; the switch. How old is the battery and what is the voltage readout in the DIC with the key: ON only ?

Something is fishy with your profile - please use the Profile and Settings tabs to update the profile to show correct info. Is your time zone correct for ??? Iowa ???

Seville, not sure why it added all the other stuff. Battery is new, not around the car for volts. I'll have to look into the profile stuff too. Just joined

the list of "could-be's" is endless -

the three most common -
loose positive connection at the starter -
bad starter solenoid -
failed ignition switch -

It should read 12.6. 12.0 is essentially dead.

Get the battery load tested and replace if necessary.

Yes, even if it's not started. Engine running, it should be high 13's/low 14's.
