Hello all you nice folks out there in FWD country. I just putted over from the Fleetwood board to ask a question or two about my mother's 1995 Deville Concours.

When the car is at a stoplight, idling in drive with my foot on the brake, the engine seems to surge, enough so that it can actually move forward if I don't depress hard enough. It will do this roughly once every ten seconds. It's fine in park and while driving, and accelerates beautifully otherwise(compared to my old Fleetwood anyway). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another odd thing is that whenever you accelerate above 7 mph (my estimate) there comes a soft, high-pitched buzz from somewhere in the dash. Does anyone else's car do that?

Also, there's no hood ornament...What gives?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks again!

Might be a vacuum leak or more likely a failing ISC motor. Open the hood and watch the ISC motor through the opening under the hood. Does the ISC plunger move the throttle? Does it ratchet the accelerator when shut down?
