I am a paralyzed ret.USAF veteran who finds my '91 Allante perfect for transferring into.Problem started slowly,at first it stalled at idle.1 mo. later,would occasionally stall when putting in gear,then a month after that it started stalled once,then at drive-thru stalled.Now it won't start unless i rev 4-5k rpms,which is foolish to maintain 5k rpms,never mind shifting.Anybody?

Firstly, can you work on the car or do you outsource your work? Have you checked the computer trouble codes? Do you know how to do this?

You might have someone take a look at your throttle body (the passages get gummy) and check the idle speed control motor mounted to it for proper operation ...
