Just looking for some input.. I have a 2006 Escalade EXT.. I want to do some mroe modding but I can't think of much to do.. I am really looking for appearance mods but i think i have done about everything i can to make the truck look good.. i dont want to jsut throw stuff on for a new look.. i want it to look good also.. i mean i got the wheels, the drop, color matched grille, tint, exhaust, intake, etc.. the only mods that come to mind is clearing the headlights and tinting the tails which in NJ the tinting tails is illegal and if you are from around here then you know everyone and their mother tries to sue you for every little thing possible.. so you know if someone rams you from behind they first thing they will say is that you tails were not bright enough.. and as far as clearing the headlights i am not gonan risk doing it and messing up these headlights lol so i tried contacting JR to see if he could do them.. and i dont really wanna go and do a custom paint job as thats way out of my league.... but again just looking for some ideas to set the truck apart.. thanks for any input..

Man your truck already looks sharp. Aside from clearing the headlights, I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Maybe wash that mud off the rear

you mean like this? I forget where i got this picture but if its anyones truck on here sorry for reposting it... I have been thinking of doing this mod for a while but i get a little nervous.. I mean i would have it done for free since my dad is in the body shop business but when i go to have my car wash the little mexicans always jump on these to wash the top of the truck and back window.. im just nervous that if they start climbing on there its gonna crack the paint or something.. not sure how sturdy it owuld be if someone is moving around on it.. plus i occasionally take them out to transport stuff.. I guess it might be worthe doing.. i really dont drive the truck that much anyway..

Personally I think it looks hideous to not have any license plate frames.. Way to plain for me.. Plus in my house its tradition to use the chain links.. I could probably grab some plain chrome frames but no way am i going without them lol.. I have seen ones without it and you just see its missing something and looks ugly.. at least to me it does..

as far as mudflaps go, i have considered them but everyone said they look ugly on the trucks and dont really go with the flow of the truck.. plus this was taken after a bad rain storm and i had to go down to my garage which had a bunch of flooding and all mud and crap was everywhere so it got kicked up..

Debadge the letters and I think it will look a lot cleaner. I know this is just a simple mod, but once you do it it will look really different. Its one of those things that you look at and you don't know what it is but it looks different. Real clean look especially on a white truck.

lol... yea at my local carwash the onwner has his little mexican "KIDS" help dry the car off lol.. and they climb all over the place to dry the car off right.. they work their [email protected]@ off more than anyone there.. they jump up on the back of the bed.. then they climb on top of my tires, etc...

How about window deflectors and bug shield. They look great on my black ESV.

This bug shield looks better than the others I have seen because it was cut to show the chrome.

My dad owns a body shop so i got mine done for free... but something like this should not cost much.. being a 3 stage paint i would say anywhere from 70-100 but thats just my guess.. here are some mroe pics..

since you have the hookup in the body shop biz... I would def do the rear panels. I would also maybe paint the black plastic on the side mirrors to match the truck so you dont see the black plastic. All you'd see is an ext in white diamond with chrome... no plastic, that would really set your truck apart!

You don't want to add stuff just to add stuff...your ride will get too cluttered and look like doodoo. Sometimes less is more (especially when it comes to the little add ons listed above...you don't want your truck looking like a tacky Stylin Concepts model)

I agree about the debadging. I did mine and it really looks clean. Another thing I think would look killer on you car would be paint the inside of your headlights white. I painted mine black to match my truck. I think it looks alot cleaner, just my .02
