Where is Katshot when we need him? :annoyed: It might be a good car even if its a fleet car. I mean you'd think they would keep the maint. pretty tight on them. How much they asking for it?

A tiny bit of good news - to me anyway - is that the dealer's inventory is just about all high-line luxury vehicles. Besides a few Volkswagens, it's mostly Audi's, Mercedes, BMW's, Porsche's, Lexus' and Acura's.. Maybe an Infiniti or two in there as well...

They're asking $6900.00 - and they said they're a little negotiable on the price.. It was originally $7500.00 but I don't think anyone who goes in there is looking at a Cadillac. It's an import dealer...

Uhh.. I'm leaving in a little while. :( Any input?
Have you seen it? The pictures aren't that great. Hard to tell what condition it's in.

The price is priced at high Bluebook for a car in 'good' condition.

Fleet in this case might just mean it was a lease company that owned it and leased it someone. It does have 'low' mileage for a fleet car. It is spot on for a 12000 per year lease contract.

Plus it's the wrong color and trim package for a fleet car. If it was a livery vehicle, then don't you have to place a sticker or plate somewhere to drive in NYC? There should be evidence of that. Also the rear seat would have just as much wear as the driver.

Take a look, if it's in decent condition, offer him six grand and play hard ball. Thats probably 750 more than he paid for it.

Look underneath the car at the frame! If there is any rust, run don't walk to the nearest exit.

My personal opinion is that black interiors seem to maintain a quality look to them while the other colors seem to look worn with age. It might be just that the other colors vary in color to much from the carpet to the seats to the dash to the headliner.

Thanks for the advice and information on that probably lease.. I will definitely be looking for rust on the frame.. I hope this all works out for me. I'm REALLY itchy to get back into a Caddy again... To me, this is the King of Cadillacs. :p I hope I like it...

Oh and the color is Champaign..
Isn't "Champaign" a luxurious name for "gold"? ;)

Seriously though, looks like things are lining up nicely for you and this car... Now you can actually pay 100 bucks more than you were willing to and not have to bugdge from your set limits because you got a freebie at the bank. ;)

I hope it works out for you! We need more people in the yacht club. ;)

Thanks.. Do you think Gold will look ugly?

I should have left by now. My girlfriend is late getting home...
Actually, my favorite FW (aside from mine ;) ) is Dan Sorenson's gold Fleetwood SS. It's a 94 with a landau roof and it just looks killer. They just look "right" that color on wires with nice white walls...

So yeah, I say gold is my next favorite color on a FW... Not to mention how much easier they are to keep clean! :D
