I was just driving along 95 this weekend and this thing (see below) came up right behind me at a very high speed and I pretty much freaked out, had my passenger snap some paparazzi type photos because I had never seen one in person before Enjoy.

It sounded great as it accellerated from about 80 to about 100mph, almost a whining sound instead of a deep sound. He was trying to ditch me and I was trying not to let him! He definitely had a detector because he hit the breaks right before we saw blue lights pulling some guy ahead of us over. Good Times! He got off in Hopkinton, MA... probably the CEO of EMC or some crap, more power to him.

I like how you can look in that rear window and see the motor. It was a 5.4 DOCH supercharged V8 in those, right?

Yeah, they're around. I think most of the ones we see on the road are replicas and not real GT's

Now, what I'm waiting to see out and about is an F-40

The Ferrari F40 is pretty much a street legal race car, no radio, no ac, and I'm not even sure if the windows go up and down. I love its very basic, visceral, no electronic nannies take on things.

One usually shows up to the local cruise night, and the owner is a pretty cool guy. Though I can't fathom getting in and out of that thing on a regular basis; it's only 40" high IIRC and sits so low to the ground it seems it would be a chore...

Yes, super low. My trucks hood was literally above the roof of the GT as I was following it.

Don't lie. That's not I-95. Maybe I-495...

That's exactly what it is and because it's the last car that Mr. Ferrari ever designed himself, they're very collectible. I'm not sure he even lived long enough to see it's completion.

They're very sweet and that's my dream car.

Not only did this video happen in New Jersey, but these guys got off my exit off Rt. 80. I heard him say "Exit 12 Hope Blairstown" and that exit also has a State Police Barracks and that Harley dealer is called Tramountin or something close to that. This all happened like 3 miles from me. I thought that stretch of highway looked familiar and the poor response time of the NJ State Police.....

Enzo Ferrari didnt design the F40. Pininfarina got those honors. Instead, the F40 was just the last car produced while Enzo was alive and in charge. It was the last car he introduced to the public.
