Hi folks, I need some info from the only people I know who may know the answer.
D- Body, specifically 95 Fleetwood
The upper control arms have a washer on the inside of the rearward bushing, how important is that and what is it's purpose.
The forward bushing does not have one, the bushings and the ends of the rod are the same so I'd like to know what the washers purpose is, maybe an assembly aid?

EDIT: I'm being told it's an alignment shim?

Wondered that myself when doing upper arm bushings.
Gave up on trying to get the Moog bushings to fit correctly.
Think they were too long.
They didn't bottom out, so the back one was hanging out an extra 1/2", not set deep enough to hold well in place.
Person before pressed the rear bushing in backwords.
I ended up doing the same to get the car back together.

Gave up & just ordered complete upper A arms.

New Moogg upper control arms comes with washers on both sides of the cross shaft.
Inside of the washers have a square hole to fit the shaft.
