High lift tracks, what are these? Pics/link? (Trying to plan my garage with a lift when I get a new house later this year...)I decided the same thing, Jim. I just got a jackshaft garage door opener and high lift tracks put in my garage, and now it is time to go lift shopping.
Anyone who installs garage doors in your area would be able to do this. My garage has a high ceiling (can't remember the exact height, but close to 14 feet iirc). The first garage door I had was on tracks that only brought the door up about eight feet and pretty much cut the garage in half. The new thing I had installed put the tracks up to the ceiling with a more gradual pitch (high lift). And I had an opener (Liftmaster) that turns the jackshaft directly, so now when I open the door, it is up on the ceiling with no opener apparatus in the way.High lift tracks, what are these? Close your hood...Man once you get a lift you will find all sorts of oil leaks, marks where a mechanic scrubbed the lower parts of your fenders (Vette's) the smashed pinch welds like on my V, the rear diff leaking, then you will want to wax the bottom of the rear facia, then move on to cleaning the insides of the wheels then look at the inner wheel houses and clean them, find the stone chips on the bottom of the front valance, heck you might even have to buy a Vette so you can park a lower car under one of your other toys.
My ceiling height is only 10'4" I cannot park the Impala SS over top of the V.:thepan: The wife will tell you that you are spending too much time in the garage.
It's evil don't do it. You will love it too much once you get one.

Can you bend these back to straight to utilize a regular press jack with pinch weld adapter... my V didn't come with a scissor jack or any jack for that matter, so i was gonna pick one of these up to put on the floor jack i have access to... http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=833the smashed pinch welds like on my V
