I find myself cleaning my 98 Deville EVERY DAY! Whether it is washing and waxing, to cleaning the leather, I am always doing something with my Deville. My finacee believes I'm having an affair with the car. However, she is coming around. She wants to trade in her '03 Explorer Limited for an Escalade!! Anyone else this "infatuated" with their Caddy? I hope I'm not the only one....:bigroll:

I hear ya!!! I used to "mess" with my Caddy all the time just to have a break from my fiance at the time, LOL!

It's fun detailing, etc. it really gives you time to think of other things and at the same time, you feel like you are accomplishing something...

p.s., your sig qiote from Office Space made me laugh outloud! I just got that movie a couple weeks ago, great flick!!

I have been like that with every car I have ever owned. I have not spoken to any neighbor in 18 years, because they all make fun of me and walk by,walking there dog, look up my 100 foot long driveway, and feel COMPELLED to SCREAM up at me, "You're gonna wash the paint offa that car!" (It WAS original, the first time, in 1971)!
-or-
the infamous: "Can I bring Mine over next" scream!! !! !! ~ I reply, "Sure, right after you cut my lawn, as I see that you did yours today" ~ That shuts them up.
-or-
The substitute letter carriar (female) who doesn't even know me, and yells up the driveway, Tomorrow, I'll drop mine off" !

I mean you can't even go out there and LOOK at your car that they don't come runnin'

Tuff _ _ _ T on them!

You're not cracy, my father has a 2000 Deville and I have a 99 SLS and we both clean ours all the time one way or another. My friends try to bust my butt for it but whenever they have questions of what to use on their vehicles for any type of cleaning, guess who they ask... the one with the nice clean car. Nothing wrong with taking care of your baby. Keep it shinin'!

I spent nearly $200 on a Porter/Cable dual action polisher and professional pads to shine my car. I have another $200 invested in professional line reducing grit cutting compounds, polishes, glazes, waxes and sealant. I carry a bottle of detailer spray, window cleaner and microfiber towels in the trunk at all times for instant touch ups. What's the point of a beautiful car if you don't keep her looking her best? Nah you ain't crazy. Crazy is taking your car to a mechanical wash and getting it covered with scratches and swirl marks. Or letting it stay dirty so crud can embed into the paint and/or etch it.

Thanks all, I don't feel so bad now. I'm 32 and this 98 Deville is my 17th car. I used to have a 82 Black Coupe Deville. Like an idiot, I sold it. That car you didn't steer, you AIMED! Anyway, I've been much more meticulous with my 98. I also live in town, so everyone wants to stare. I just grin and wave back. ;) V.
