I just bought a CTS and now ATS?

ATS has been discussed and pictured all over the internet and regular media for the past year or so.
why wouldnt it be better? I thought they were gonna discontinue the cts and ATS was gonna take its place
The ATS is not out. The word is in 2013 as a 2014 model year. It's not replacing the CTS, the CTS will probably grow to 5 series size, ATS will be 3 series size. Lord Cadillac stays on top of that stuff, and yes, there is a section for future models.
Yea but for some reason i dont have permission to post in that section.. So when do you think the Cts model will change again?
ATS sedan version coming out approx in fall 2012 as 2013 model or 2013 as 2014, and then the coupe in 2013 as 14 model.. and may be the V later if they will have one (?)
ATS is like a smaller version of CTS, used by GM to expend the market. It shouldn't be a replacement to the CTS even if it is. My cTS is small enough Didn't hear about when will the 3RD Gen CTS roll out yet. There is another model coming out since DTS and STS are discontinued

probably wont see many around at the beginning when they come out. i didn't see another CTS 2nd gen user back in 08 until around a year later after i got it (even i drive around socal)... people who knows me knows where i am because of the car... since i am the only few riding it back then. I have yet to see someone with the coupe yet. pretty exclusive, i like this idea.
Here's what others predict:
Cadillac ATS will be powered by a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine making 270-hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. Fuel-economy is estimated to come in at 22/32 mpg (city/highway). Moving up a notch, the Cadillac ATS 3.6 will be powered by a 3.6L V6 making 330-hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The pride and joy of the lineup, the Cadillac ATS-V will get its grunt from a 6.2L V8 making 470-hp and 438 lb-ft of torque.
I like it to. I've had my coupe for just over a month now, and I have yet to see another one on the road. I enjoy driving a vehicle that you don't see tons of everywhere. It was like this when I first got my previous two cars, a Lexus IS350 (I had one of the very first ones in my town, and had to wait 6 weeks and travel to another city to get the exact one I wanted) and before that a Mazda RX-8. Now you see both those cars everywhere. I don't expect it to be quite the same with the CTS Coupe, since, as a coupe, it's more of a niche product than the IS sedan and since it's less affordable than the RX-8. But I do hope and expect to see a few more of them on the road--this coupe is a sweet ride that deserves to be a big hit if you ask me.

As for not seeing the CTS Coupe, I agree with Tulk. Sightings will be more frequent as more flow into market. I had one of the early Nissan 350Zs and was constantly getting looks & thumbs up from others. A year later, it was yawn, another 350. Coupe is higher priced so won't be as plentiful as our Coupes.

It looks pretty small. The other day I had three guys in my back seat, you definitely don't want to go on long trip like that. It was very tight for them.
ha, so true. And coupe styling ages faster than sedan styling, as we generally expect a coupe to be more racy and exciting. But once the newness wears off, it's just a sedan minus two doors.
Like the 3-series, I am not sure why they will offer an ATS sedan. Unless you only plan on putting little kids in the back.
Well I dont know where u live but im in temecula and i work at the casino.. and i guess all thes rich native americans getting free checks from the casino.. I seen the coupe alot and the black cts-v the new one.. i see it like atleast once a week driving to work... Man.. those lucky people.. they got ragedy old house but a cadillac in the front

What the hell does that have to do with the thread? You sound so prejudiced there... And I highly doubt they're lucky, people actually do make money for a living.

There are no official photos... even the spy shots aren't confirmed to be the ATS...
