I have a 2012 Premium CTS4 with about 95,000 miles on it. One day I found this screw (see photo) on the driver's side floorboard directly under the steering column. I looked around under the dash in the general vicinity above where I found the screw but I couldn't find where it came from. No noticeable problems with the car. Thought I would ask on this forum if anyone has any ideas where it might belong...

It appears to be a low-grade Allen head metric Bolt. That's about all I can tell you about it as I don't have the same vehicle you do.

Standard 7mm fastener with integral washer. It's used all over the place under the dash. Might have vibrated loose from an under-dash cover, or somewhere else. You can look at all the exposed holes and see if you can see a witness mark from the washer. If you can't find it, toss it in the ashtray and it'll never bee needed. If you toss it, it will become needed somewhere.
