Okay, so the CFO finally gave in and is letting me order headers.
At the risk of this thread getting closed,:histeric: I am going to put this question out there. Which headers are the best deal going now? I am leaning towards the newly redesigned B&B headers and asking Billy to leave out the resonators. (Louder the better in my book) I am also thinking about getting some test pipes at the same time so I can run them except for inspection time. That should eliminate any cat blow out problems.

I would also not like to pay the full price for them so I wonder if B&B would do another group buy? Is there enough interest out here to even suggest that to them?

Thanks,
Dan

I couldn't wait. I ordered the B&B headers today. The cool thing is that they are now shipping them with both the test pipes and the cats. Also they put one O2 bung in the collector on the header and the other behind the cat on the lead pipe. I also special ordered mine to not have the resonator in the lead pipe.

After this I will get the stealthV tune and that should put me in the 12's. Sad part is by the time I get them the track will be closed for winter...

I also have a Borla exhaust system sitting in my warehouse for the CTS-V. It is very loud and sounds like a racecar.

I just got off the phone and just ordered my headers.
I was wondering which set of headers did I ordered(I tried to call them back but they where closed). Since, I'm doing a Stealth V tune in a few weeks I was wondering if I got the B&B try-y headers or the longtube headers? I know they stopped making one type of headers but, I don't know which one they stopped making.

If you didn't ask for anything special then you should be getting the newly designed long tube headers. You will also get a two piece section that connects between the headers and the X-PIPE or Resonator (depending on what you have now). The front of this section has the CATS or a test pipe, up to you which you install, both are included. The second part of this section has small resonators. I special ordered mine to not have those resonators.

HDMLNIUM just posted pics of the new style....that should be the only ones he's making. I bet he's sick of getting calls about dead cats lol
I see...I just need to know what exact kind since i'm getting a tune done by stealth.

Well, I didn't order anything special but I did tell him that I have the resonator version of the exhaust and was thinking of switching my resonator to an x-pipe. I'll just call to double check exactly what I got.

Thanks Dan!

Cool Dan,

We will have to make it to the track again with the nice cold fall air. We should both run 12.8's side by side..... and get it on video of course for Reed to host..:yup:
