The XLR is awesome! I've always though it was one of the best looking cars on the road and to be driving one now is unbelievable. I'm already looking forward to the 500mi mark (currently 140).

It looks like I'll be here for the next couple of years, having spent the last 2 in the CTS-V forum. I'll be back to add some pictures to this thread. :cool2:

Congratulations....
I got mine about almost two weeks ago and the car is outstanding.
I went from an 05 STS and the differences are too many to list.
Good luck and enjoy every moment.....

So how do you like the keyless approach entry? Supposedly there is a manual latch somewhere in case the batteries die in the remote.....where is the manual latch?
The keyless entry is very nice. I changed the prefrences so the car will automatically lock and unlock when the fob is in or out of range.

The manual latch is in the trunk, which can be opened using a key that goes into a spot on the bumper.

Also, sorry for no pics today (didn't think I would be busy today...) I'll have pics tomorrow.

Looking foreward to pics whenever you can....:cool2:
Indeed! I'm getting ancy for an XLR. First I thought the CTS-V would be great, and for that price I could get a nice STS 1SE, but then I realized that I can get a 2004 with low mileage for about the same as the 2006 STS 1SE and 2006 CTS-V.

Hmmm, judging by the date on those pictures, you must have somehow got your hands on a prototype or something ... ;)
:D That's how old the digital camera is... it was designed for win95 and NT 4.0 but it still works well for internet pictures (1.5 mega pixel).
