Yup you heard me. I was in the left lane of a double laned stop light. I looked over his red mustang that he seemed to be so proud of and we exchanged glances. The mustang was probably a 96. I had just went to Arby's, so I was eating curley fries. The light turned green, and I see him out of the corner of my eye gun it. So I gunned it. Then I caught up to him and we were side to side for a moment and i started to pass him, I had the nose in front of him. Then I took another bite out of a curley fry. We stayed like this for a while, with my nose out further than his, and me eating curley fries. We were both doing about 90, until I caught up to traffic and had to brake. There wasn't any traffic in the right lane, so he was able to pass me then. Finally I pulled up next to him again in the next light, and smiled and waved, he didn't even look. Then he turned off into a side road, and we parted ways. It was fun though. :p

I didn't think I even had a chance against it at first, but my baby showed me otherwise. :cloud9:

It's tough owning a Mustang. Everybody thinks you have a racecar. Unfortunately, a lot of Mustang owners think that too. The facts are:
1. There are MANY years and models of Mustangs that are anything but fast.
2. Many Mustangs on the road are in crappy shape, and run about as well.
3. Mustangs are cheap so many kids own them, beat the tar out of them, and do stupid mods to them that in the end turn them into REAL crappy cars.
4. Many Mustangs that "look" real fast are actually base V6 cars with body kits etc. added to make them "look" fast. Matter of fact, there's actually a guy around my area that installed a complete Cobra-R body kit on a V6 base Mustang! :cookoo:
Bottom line, you never know what you're playing with out on the roads but Mustangs can be anything from super-slow junk to super-fast racecars.

Yeah mustangs, In my book are slightly above Ricers for intimidation. Sure, there are some REALLY fast ones out there, but there are a lot of anemic 4 cylinders, and basically any V6 one thats not an 05 model is slow. And when compared to F-Bodies, the Mustangs almost always lose.

There aren't very many fast GTs around here. The guys who have the resources to go fast get 03-04 Cobras or Foxes. I've beaten a couple pre-99 GTs. I haven't had the pleasure of racing a 99-04 yet and judging how much faster they are than the pre-99s I don't particularly want to until I have my nitrous kit installed (still need an electric fuel pump, regulator, and fuel cell.)
