The V doesn't have it for the highly technical reason that the old M5 didn't have it. It would have been an added expense that was not deemed necessary to compete with the M5.

Of course in hindsight, now with the onslaught of the 400+hp wars, it would be a nice plus.

Somewhere I recall hearing that it was planned perhaps for 2007? Not sure where I heard that.

For the few of you reading this thread that think these guys are smoking crack, HUD is Heads up display.
I was reading this thread and was :hmm:. Not until Heavymetals links did I figure out what you guys were saying.:histeric:

It isn't as though the V doesn't have enough of these, and the wiring that would be entailed, BLAH!

My optimum system would be based on wireless (bluetooth) enabled sensors.

Like 10secvette mentioned. It is definitely not a got to have item. I had it on my C5 and had it turned off for some reason. It was off for days before I realized it.

after seeing the system in the new z06 i was going to post this same question today...i'm inquiring through a buddy at gm to see how hard of an install it would be (he works on lots of prototype stuff).
