I have been on this forum for awhile but haven't introduced myself yet.
I have been around Cadillacs for a good part of my life. When I was a younger, my parents bought a new 1969 Caddy Calais which they drove for 10 years, then got a '79 Sedan Deville. My brother still has their Calais.
My first Caddy was an '86 Sedan Deville that I bought from a neighbor in '01 with the 4100 dog of an engine. It had 36,000 miles on it and I drove it for 2 days before the head gasket failed. Never was much good after that. I gave it to a friend who finally got it going and still drives it daily, albeit with a knock in the engine.
I now own an '03 CTS with the 5 speed stick and I love it. One of the best cars I've ever owned, and I've had a lot. I plan on keeping it for the long haul.
