As soon as Cadillac goes back to what made them great, they will retain their rightful place at the top of the automotive world.

1. Distinctive styling
2. Top quality materials
3. Seperate product development from the rest of GM
4. Better customer service for ALL Cadillac customers, not just NEW car customers.
5. Closer watch on the executive staffing including product team leaders.
6. Total emphasis on QUALITY.
Someone has it right...

Cadillacs Winning Strategy:
It is time for Cadillac to take a step back and do what has always made them successful. Why do people say, It is the Cadillac of (category). They say this because of the ideals that Cadillac was once known for despite, having lost its way in the 80’s and 90’s.

Attributes to Leverage:
1. The Cadillac Symbol and Brand Name. The Brand name and symbol are the best in the World along with Mercedes.
2. Cadillac is an American car. Make sure everyone knows it is AMERICAN who might be thinking about getting one.
3. Luxury. Keep the chrome bumpers and trim! The plastic might cost less but it is all about quality! While everyone else is moving to plastic, stand-firm and put the real thing on the most luxurious cars money can buy. We want wood grain and leather too!
4. Quality. Cadillac and Quality should be synonymous. These cars should drive 100,000 problem free miles and more. Why do people love Toyotas? Because their bodies rust out before the engine and parts do. The quality control needs to be incredibly thorough.
5. Keep the style, design, and engineering on the cutting edge, but never over-engineer to the point where the cutting edge technology is dysfunctional, the car is extremely expensive to fix, and normal mechanics can’t work on them. The design problems must be avoided at all costs. Keep it Simple Stupid is sometimes a good motto.

Execution:
1. Advertising. Cadillac needs a huge, signature advertising Campaign. Retro is very in. They need to show that whether you’re old or young, Cadillac is IT. I would pour millions into Cadillac and public exposure. I.E – Does anyone remember Tom Brady’s Super Bowl MVP present?? (ESCALADE). Take the XLR and run a HUGE ad campaign.
2. Dedicate the brand to designing an award-winning model. The car will create a stir by itself such as the Lincoln LS, the Nissan 350Z, The Volvo R60, etc. Free magazine ads and free PR come along with that. Nothing is better advertising than good PR. Bad PR on the other hand…is the worst.
3. Execute Quality. Exemplify Quality. Be Cadillac Quality.
4. Customer Service. Make sure all Cadillac dealers give top priority to their customers.
Compete. Go right at the competition and exploit their weaknesses.

Cadillac should get chrome.....dare I say chrome bumbers? some sort of tail fins, and the huge chrome grilles....... Let's see, Mini did it, VW did it, Ford did it (twice now), Chrystler did it..... I am sure there are others....... look how well all of those sold....
Chrome is just one of the answers!!! :worship: :wacky:

First off i would like to Thank You for the opportunity to Earn your Business! I know i am going to get fired for this but you only live once Right :devillaug The very first thing that i would do given complete control of Cadillac would be to Scrap ALL Front Wheel Drive Designs and Shred them > 2nd would be to $hitcan the NorthStar and Replace it with a 400 Hp Small block Chevy engine, and get back to basics as KatShot mentioned earlier. I would then find some "old school" design engineers to create an all new Rear Wheel Drive Fleetwood, Deville, Eldorado, Seville, STS, CTS, and the all New VTS & VTC >Virtual Touring Sedan & Virtual Touring Coupe > Body on Full Frame Designs only > no more Unibody BS FOR MY CUSTOMERS. I would bring back some of the Classic Cadillac Looks blended with modern day aerodynamics for an All New Design. I would Simplify ALL the Electronics, no more idiot lights. Only LCD, digital and analog guage instramentation, Most all vehicles will be "special Custom ordered" so the customer can "build" the car Via Virtual Computor and Test Drive it B-4 it's built at the Dealership. During the Virtual test drive the Customer will be able to make any changes to the suspension, engine tourque, Transmission shift points and a full array of "MANY OPTIONS" To Choose from the "Base" model. The All New Cadillacs would vary greatly in price range depending mainly on build options. The main goal would be to offer the consumer a better built car for a more "affordable price" AND > unsurpassed QUALITY & "Dependability". The All New Cadillacs would come with a 10 Year 200,000 mile Warranty!
Stop by your All New Cadillac Dealer and Make Your Virtual Car A Reality.

Yeah, I drove the Navigator and although it has anything you'd ever want toy wise, the ride is not that good still (meaning it's better than it used to be at least), and the engine is seriously labored. By contrast, the Aviator (very surprisingly) has a noticably smoother ride, better handling, 5-speed auto, and WAY better power ( strangly higher power output than the Nav). All that, and virtually identical styling and options for 10K less. I said SOLD!! The dealer called a couple hours ago to tell me that the truck is in (they had to get one from another dealer to get the color and options we wanted), so hopefully tomorrow, I'll be driving it to work. GOOD-BYE GMC DENALI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
POS spent more time at the dealer than in my driveway, and GMC has no business selling premium vehicles anyway. They have no clue how to handle that type of customer.
what color & options? They have great reviews. I'd buy a aviator over an explorer anyday, but then again, aviators cost more.
