I was able to complete this yesterday. We were able to piggyback off the side marker lights for the flash signal, and everything works great.

I was thinking you could get the extra wiring from the side turn signal. What did you use to tap into it?

Also, with the resistor getting so hit from the DRL, could it be put in the path of the turn signal wire? This would be the source of the hyper flash and would lessen the heat caused from always on operation.

I just used one of the safety splices, then taped it all up. I fastened the resistor to the flat metal piece of the inner fender skirt, so it should be all good.

would it work in the 2004 CTS 3.6L V6? or would i still have to wire it to the harness?

Just did this in my 2005. I used new plugs from Advance Auto Parts (some kind of Dorman part #) and found that to be easy when putting this all together. All I need now is clear fogs, which are proving hard to find cheaply. Great write-up!

looking to do this mod this weekend.
So is the best way tapping into the side marker? If so, which wire? Also, are you adding resistors or a LED relay? Thanks!
