I am looking to verify the trim level of my 1999 Deville. Dealer said it was a De Elegance, but I'm lacking massage seats and rain sensors(unless I missed some control or setting)

If it was a D'elegance it would say so on the rear quarter panel.

check the RPO code list on the underside of the spare tire cover -
it lists all the options it got from the factory -

put your VIN number in here - www.compnine.com

it will list everything that came on the car from the factory -

Turns out the color and interior make it a pretty rare model (Medici red with light yellow leather) makes me feel a bit better about it not being a D'Elegance

not a real clear pic -
but it looks like a base Deville with some dealer add-ons -

Medici red with light yellow leather

available interior colors were
NEUTRAL SHALE - basically off white -
or CAMEL - a definite saddle-tan

I just don't remember any light yellow interior

I would have thought tan. After the early 90s they only had very basic interior colours.
I think another way to tell D'Elegance is the door trim is chrome and gold. All chrome is a regular deville.

I don't know about '99, but my '95 has a dark blue interior

----------

It's not real clear in that picture, but does it have a half vinyl top?
Personally, I would remove the stick-on rocker trim at the bottom. :)

Half top, light leather(almost white). Rocker moldings are a bit much but I don't want to mess with anything yet. So this bing a base model means no active air ride huh? I got new opera lights as well with a single led bulb(want a little more brightness) but I think I will change them to led strips when I get the HID kit

there are NO Cadillac models that have air ride -
our cars use regular coil springs front and rear -
with front oil-filled struts - and rear oil-filled shocks -

the rear shocks DO incorporate air bladders
that can be inflated to maintain body height

ALL Deville - Seville - and Eldorado models
DO have Electronic Level Control systems for the rear

the ELC system simply maintains the correct ride height -
whether the back seat and trunk are empty - or fully loaded -

------------------
when I get the HID kit
HID headlights will NOT work properly in this car -
they are illegal - and should NOT be used -

HID's will put LESS useable light on the road - and blind oncoming traffic -

if you want BLUE BLING BULBS -
just buy some blue-dipped halogen bulbs -

if you are actually looking for better performing night-driving bulbs -
PIAA bulbs are expensive - but make a BIG difference -

Yeah I have the sylvanias in now and maybe a headlight alignment would benefit more. I detest blue lights, only 4300K or super whites would ever go in my ride.

--------------

yes - there were other colors along with the two I listed -
I was only considering colors close to "light yellow" -
