How to STOP the brake rattle noise

I had a slow speed sever rattle over uneven roads or over Botts’ dots, or turtles in the road. It was driving me nuts. I knew it was the brake pad rattle in the caliper because if I used just a little pressure on the brake pedal it would stop the rattle.
So I have found the FIX to STOP the RATTLE. For J55 and JE5 brake packages.
They are made by Carlson Quality Brake Parts, this is their page about the Quiet-Glide Brake-Clips at QuietGlide® Brake Clips - Carlson Quality Brake Parts

Carlson catalog at: Carlson Brakes Online Parts Catalog

I have installed them on all four brake calipers and they have STOPPED the RATTLE!

You do not have to wait till you need new brake pads. When you remove your old NOT-worn-out brake pads be sure to put them back in the same location they came off from and just install the new Quite Glide hardware.

I used a wire brush the clean off debris on the caliper bracket where the hardware clips will be installed and sprayed it all with brake cleaner. Then install the hardware Quite-Glide-clips on to the caliper bracket. See installation video below. Now you will need to put a small amount of silicone brake lubricant on the clips where the brake pads slide on. Don't get the lube on the rotor, if you do be sure to clean it off. Then install the brake pads in the caliper bracket.

I removed the slide pins, cleaned them off of the old lube, and installed new brake lube and new rubber boots. (The boots come with the kit part numbers shown below)
Note; The J55 brake has one slide pin that has an O ring rubber on the tip of it. It belongs in the BOTTOM hole of the caliper bracket. Using the wrong brake lube will cause the rubber O ring to swell, see

Great post! I had no idea they made these kits, sounds like a great investment. I had brake rattle and I thought my suspension was falling apart for the longest time, but no, it was the brakes. I temporarily fixed them by bending the old hardware so they were tighter but it's coming back and it's incredibly annoying. Getting one of these kits👍

I don't think it is specific because the rear brakes on my car are the same as your car, and they rattle too. It MUST BE a problem otherwise Carlton would not have come up with a fix.
My rattle can only be heard with the windows up at under 30 MPH on bumpy roads or over Botts' Dots. I do not know what it sounds like to a pedestrian but it can't be good.

a new update, the quiet hardware has been of for 12,000 miles and almost 2 years. It is now starting to make noise as it did before.
So, I have just ordered new quiet clips, because the noise is going to drive me NUTS. It's a CADILLAC.

I do not have any brake "chatter". the brakes work very well. I have a rattle, that is heard at low speeds of 10 thru 30 MPH if the road is not smooth. If I just apply very little brake pedal pressure the rattle will stop.
The rattle is from the brake disc pad bouncing in the caliper.
