Could someone please help me understand how to enable the "passive locking" feature so that when I exit my car (with the fob in my pocket), the doors automatically lock without my having to press the lock button on the fob? I've looked through the manual and while it refers to this feature, can't find anything that would allow me to enable it on the Driver's settings. Thanks much for your help -

I checked the manual and don't see it either but I know you can do it because mine locks when I walk away.

I will scroll through the menus in the morning and see if I can remember how I did it. I will let you know if I find it.

Off the top of my head if you have the Nav it is:

CONFIG (Hard Key)

Vehicle (Soft key)

Personal Settings (Soft)

Lock/Unlock (Soft)

Scroll down using the arrow on the bottom left of screen

Select "Keyless Access" (Soft Key) - Their is a narrative paragraph that says something like "Lock all doors after last door is closed".

Their is also a second key below that for the delay I think and another above that controls the unlock upon driver door settings...

Hope that is what you were looking for...

I can look it up further is Malcom or some else doesn't before if that isn't what you need.

Kev

P.S. There is a six second delay I believe before they lock after the last door is closed. Their is seperate settings for horn chirps and light flashes that are above that menu as I recall.

Its in the setup on your onscreen if you don't have Navagation. Its listed as doors lock at off or something. It takes like 20 secs for the doors to lock after you shut the car off. If you can't find it let me know I will look at mine later on today for you.....

I want to thank all of you who replied to my question - this really is a great forum and I'm so happy with my new STS. I think I found the answer, by accident, last night. After scrolling through all of the options, I found one for "Keyless Lock Delay"; I remember my Dealer showing it to me, but he said it was to delay the door locking until the last (open) door had been closed. Figuring I had nothing to lose by trying it, I selected the option. When I walked away with the fob in my pocket, sure enough, the horn beeped once and all of the doors locked without my having to do anything.
Thanks again for your help.
