I know is real, I meant the side steps makes their life easier moving front to back, that was the cheating part.
There was a big show in Japan few years ago when they launched the CTS in there, same stuff performed with 4(?) cars.
Now I was just wondering...how does the car move forward with only one traction wheel on the ground (assume is real wheel drive and planetary gears in the diff.)? What keeps the suspended wheels to spin in the opposite direction?

It's a variation on the old Joey Chitwood Auto Show that toured short-tracks around the country in the 60's & 70's. It does require several mods to the cars used. Two that I remember are a differental 'lock' and very high tire pressures (100 PSI?)

As I consider further, to access the lugs, the brakes on that side would be separate and a differential lock would not be the way to go. A normal open differential would act as shown.
