I finally figured out how to reset the CHECK OIL LEVEL message this weekend. When I did a quick search in this forum I couldn't find that information so I thought I'd pass it along.
I'd get the message and add oil as required (or just park on the level), but the message would not clear. According to the owner's manual, if you read between the lines the oil level is not checked when the engine is running or if it has been running within the last 30 minutes. So in order to clear the message you have to wait 30 minutes and turn on the key but don't start the engine! Once the display cycles through, bingo, the message is cleared.
Hope this helps someone, or at least ends some frustration.
