Not to be unkind, but that sort of info is in your Owner's Manual.

If you don't have one, look at the "Sticky" at the head of this forum.

Remove the cover on the motor and pack some white lithium grease around the drive gear and the cable. Do not operate the motor with the cover off.

On my '92 STS I'd clean the mast with mineral spirits 2-3 times, running it up and down a few times between cleanings, then follow up with a wipe of WD-40.
