I found out how to disable the traction control on my 93 Eldo ETC and not have it start in second gear...easy! Just take the fuse out for the ABS in the trunk, brakes work fine, takes off in first gear, only thing is the ABS light on the dash stays lit. But it does 0-60 in 6.1 secs with the traction control on and 5.7secs after!! best quarter mile 14.1, I think with a K&N filter and letting it cool would get me an honest 13.9, G-tech pro meter readings of course. Anyways, stock 93 ETC very rare, bright red color, chrome wheels, 145k,all stock except I removed the complete under car air filter box, just left the stock filter housing, and filter, to allow fresh cold air to be sucked in through hole in fender well. I will be fabricating a custom PVC drain pipe ram air tube soon. But man I smoked a 92 Mustang 5.0L today, he tried so hard to beat me...stick shift too. This is my second Eldorado ETC, the last one i had 187k,jet black, same G-Tech pro meter, did 0-60 in 5.9 secs, with K&N filter, same air box mod as above, basically all stock, I also had one of those tornado craptractions...I really dont know if it made any difference since I put the K&N in at the same time. But the oil pan started leaking and I didnt feel like fixing it. Missed it soo much I had to have another. Ive had about 5 Caddy northstars...2 ETC's 94 STS, Deville concours...Love my Caddy's...I know you guys are going to say the G-techPro is not 100% accurate but man, look at the #'s and these are basically stock cars, and Caddy's at that!! Cadillac had a wolf in sheeps clothing when they made the Eldorado ETC. poop If I can smoke a mustang GT in an Eldog, I actually smoked an older vette too. But just thought I should let u guys know about the fuse, to disable the pesky traction control. Then only problem is it takes a little getting used to smoking the tires!!
