The original version of the auto start/stop feature did not have a button or switch whereby you could disable this feature if you felt bothered by it or thought this was too much wear on your starter. The current version of the auto start/stop does have a disable button which allows you to turn off this feature after you've started your vehicle. However, for those with the original version who do not like the feature, following is a link to a device which you attach to your OBD connector which permanently disables this feature. It only takes a few seconds to connect the device and will work on most GM vehicles as well as your Caddy.
