[STS 99]

I will need my 1st oil change since buying this 99 seville I am just curious what the dealer charges for this? I have always done it myself on my other cars and will probably end up doing the caddy myself and if I do are there any lube points on this car?

My daughter has a '99 SLS and I just did her first oil change (she got it in Feb.) and I found no grease fittings. No idea on dealer price for oil changes as I always do my own.

IIRC my dealer wanted like $49 or 59, something like that. But the only time it's seen the dealer is for the fuel rail recall. I did my own oil change, cost me about $14-15 with filter.

I just buy the oil and bring it to my mechanic if he's slow on a day and he just drains and throws it in. All I can say is that these take alot of oil.

my mercedes takes 9 quarts of oil..
now that's ... a lot of oil for a car.

I give them the oil & the charge is about $20 including filter.

Does the 4.9 also take 7.5 quarts of oil?

4.9 takes 4.5 qts. as I recall.
