How many wagons were made?

I have dug around but can't find a figure. Anyone know or anyway to get a total for the number produced each year...2010 - 2014? Can't be too many because at any time there aren't more than about 50 for sale nationwide. :hmm:

OK...I kept digging and found this........

QUOTE FROM CURBSIDECLASSIC.COM ......

"The CTS, until its recently-launched third generation, straddled segments. Consequently, the CTS Sport Wagon was initially priced closer to the 3-Series wagon but sized more like a 5-Series. Of course, wagons always attract a niche audience. Of the 254,000 second-generation CTS models produced, just 7,000 wagons were sold despite the wagon’s fairly lengthy 2010-2014 run (the sedan was sold from 2008-2013). Of the 7,000, just 1,200 were CTS-V wagons. Make no mistake, those wagons will be collectors’ items one day."

I think all CTS wagons, not only the V, will be a collector item regardless of it's powertrain in 50 years. I personally don't like the look of the V with it's front fascia or the 19" wheels. Doesn't look classy and pure elegant the way a Caddy should look. Just my opinion.

2010 CTS (All) - 40,100
Sedan - 36,548
Wagon - 3,552

2011 CTS (All) - 57,943
Sedan - 40,591
Coupe - 15,715
Wagon - 1,637

I agree. ALL of the wagons are going to be collector's items.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but production numbers alone does not a collector car make. Imagine if they made like 20 wagons in a single year production run and never made that particular version of wagon ever again...would that make them collectible? Not necessarily. To those that like the vehicle, they will think they found the holy grail when one comes up for sale. To others, it's nothing. Run one of those 20 across the block at Barrett Jackson and watch it flop if it doesn't have a huge following. More than low production numbers are needed for collectible status.

My 2014 CTS Wagon (delivered Nov 2013) has had 3 cross country trips, now has 52K miles and is the best road car I’ve ever owned. I’ve seen maybe 40 in all this time. Everyone always asks “ what kind of car is that??”. I’ts going to be worth the $8K hail damage repair bill !!!

I was in PA during a major hail storm. I think I did end up with some minor hail damage but you can only see it if you are at a good angle. A couple dents is all. Probably can easily be removed by those paintless dent removal people.

Love driving my wagon long distances. With the J55 brakes equipped with Powerstop Z26 series brakes they are very nice. If I have to stomp on them they really stop the car fast. The holes and slots really make a huge difference on panic type stops. I do have to get out of the car and walk around every few hours or so but you have to in pretty much any car. My truck probably is a little better padded seats but I guess if they bothered me that much I would replace them.

Rod: do you have the Recaros?
It took me a while to find the right position. Had to blow a LOT of air in the cushions to make it right.

After this I have taken the car on some 1.000 mile daily rides (back and forth to the Swedish mountains) and no pain for me. Just a bit of power surge on the turning Swedish higways where overtaking has to go faaaast.

To my very large regret I cant keep up with the Swedish T8 hybrid powertrains (unless it is the stompy XC90).

Actually, NMSL brought up Nationally Monitored Speed Limit on Google.
Perhaps you should just stick to words instead of acronyms, or perhaps I should put less effort into deciphering your posts.

Oh the 55 days. I got so many speeding tickets on my motorcycles they upped my insurance $2,000 more a year on my motor vehicles.
How can anyone drive 55, this bike can do 130 MPH, I told one cop. He just laughed as he wrote the ticket. the tickets where only $35 so I did not care. until the insurance Co. found out.

Why ? I've always thought the Golden Hawk was a great looking car and the Scotsman 2 door wagon had really clean lines. Think a Studillac is a neat car and don't forget it is "a bear's natural habitat".

That said many do not realize the difference between RARE and DESIRABLE. Many cars are rare because they weren't desirable (I never cared for the interior on an AMX).

For me my cars generally fall into GTs, Cruisers, Tow Cars, and the Judge which is a good example of a car that were a reasonable number built (3k coupes in 1970) but is popular & not many with both a 4-speed and AC.

My goat wagon held a full size mattress with the seat folded and was great to pull in backwards at a drive in.

BTW two words: Chevrolet Nomad.
