2008, 196k miles, FL car, runs great and is in great shape. I often marvel at the worth of an otherwise good used car being determined by the market value.
Takes me back to my first new car when some careless, uninsured butt head knocked it out from under me at just over a year old. It wasn't the same afterwards, but I still had to drive it and pay the same note and insurance rate for it.
My CTS is so nice that I have every intention of keeping it long enough for grey hairs to start building up in it when I grow enough and if it wears out enough for me to consider replacing it, I'll look for someone that has what I want in a newer used CTS up for sale at a very nice price, service it as needed and keep truck'n.
Take care of it and drive it, you're polling for the wrong statistic. You're getting estimates from individuals that threw in the "towel" at their jump off point, which says nothing about longevity. Your subject line might have been better if it called for high mileage (on the car) second gen owners.
