Damn that sucks. I hope things look up for you. I don't have a CTS or a V but I have gotten a ticket for 110 in a 70 zone. Was it smart or safe?? No, but I just wanted to see how far I could push my car. (93 Regal GS)
I'm thinking about picking up a V1. Where would be the best place to get one for a good price?willsctsv said:If you are doing a buck fifty and the radar didin't go off, your finished. If you see the cop at that speed it's to late brother. Valentine 1, nothing is 100% but the V1 increases your chances of survival. I picked up a cop once from about 3/4 of a mile away! Plenty of time to slow down.
If you don't mind buying used, check out Ebay. There's usally quite a few of them available. Otherwise, you have to buy directly from Valentine. I've owned many radar detectros and the Valentine 1 is BY FAR the best out there and has saved my ass many a time.Black Beast said:I'm thinking about picking up a V1. I believe you'll find that you can be "arrested" in Texas for speeding, BUT(a big "BUT"...LOL)...you can not legally be taken to jail for that infraction IF(a big "IF")...you have a Texas Drivers License. If you do not have a Texas Drivers License, you "ass is grass and the Police Officer's is a Power Mower"...(read "You can be taken to jail")...but it's not mandatory...it's the Police Officer's call...if he thinks you will not flee the state...and that's VERY RARE. :yup: As for me, it all depends on the drivers attitude, traffic conditions, road conditions and/or hazzards and how well the driver was handling the speed at which he was driving and the condition of his car. If the driver was nice, and no traffic or entrance ramps, and was driving a V... :histeric: , we'll just probably stand around and talk cars for 5 or 10 minutes...with a "Be careful now" as we depart.SilverV said:Here is Texas you cannot be arrested for speeding.
