About the only option I didnt get on my '01 Eldorado is the Homelink garage door opener. I'd had one on the Riviera I owned previously, and I really miss it... My dealer tells me its $179, but I know it was only $107 according to the literature on the car. You can tell it just snaps into the slot and it should make connection to the little electrode thingys in there, so as far as "installation" there really shouldnt be any to speak of. So my real question is... anyone know where I can find one of these for my car besides the dealer?? I have looked at the Homelink website and they dont offer them for sale. Thanks!

I would assume you CAN get in your color, but actually finding them may be difficult. Maybe black is the "standard issue" color.

I think black is the only choice. I never saw one in any other color listed while I was looking.

You can dye it to match your interior. You might want to contact leathermagic.com and send a piece of your interior trim so they can match your color exactly. I used there product to dye the headliner of a hard top for my Allante and it worked great. It would also be nice if you ever need to dye your seats from wear entering and exiting the car. Good product!!!!

I looked at mine and the thing is so small that black won't ruin the look of interior.

I'd be hesitant about painting/dying it, since it's a contact point likely to get daily use.
