I noticed (and it's in my initial review) that when I have my V1 radar detector plugged into either socket (have not hard wired yet) that after sitting at a light for 10 seconds or more, when the XT4 would restart it would reset my V1.
I am a car guy (ex mechanic) turned software geek so I always enjoy trying to diagnose these things before I take it to the dealer.
So I picked up a voltage meter with high reviews from Amazon and plugged it in. When auto stop kicked in, I could see the voltage dropping. It was down to 11.1 and when I let off the brake and it restarted it hit 10.5! The meter even complained the battery was bad but the XT has never failed or even seemed to be weak when starting, even after sitting for 4 days.
This is not my first car with auto stop as we have 2010 and 2018 Prius' in the driveway. I'll have to plug the meter into both of them and see how much it drops.
I see a few things here.
1. My battery could actually be weak
2. The XT just draws a TON of power while in auto stop mode, which means nothing can be done.
I will get it to the dealer in the spring when I have more time.
Anyone else have this issue?
