Have a Base 2000 Deville(bench seat) and the 2 holes to the bottom half of the hinge plate are shot.
The 2 screws will no longer hold, seems that the plastic holes in the bottom portion of console has cracked away making it impossible for the screws to take hold.
I did apply some jb weld in the broke area, let it cure, then drilled 2 new holes and this lasted for about 3 months until it broke loose.
Little things like this really shouldn't be breaking so soon.
Have a 26 yr old Lincoln with 2x as much mileage and it's hinge is intact.
Wish I could get underneath the opening to reinforce it better.
