Hello !
I just wonder : If removing the air pump (smog pump) on my 1968 DeVille, can I expect to get higher CO at an emission test ?
I live in Sweden and in about two weeks time it's time for the big "every-second-year-check-up" where the car has to meet less than about 5 % CO.
Also I wonder - there's a vacuum hose going down from the carb to the airpump. I suspect there might be a vacuum leak somewhere where this hose connects to the pump since when I remove this hose and plug it I find that the car runs a bit better (has slightly more power)...
Does the pump have any effect without this vacuum hose connected ?
Cheers from Stockholm, Sweden !
