Hey Everybody - Newbe here. Just bought an 08 CTS 3.6 DI with 75K miles. The hight mount brake light stopped working. I replaced it with a new one and it still does not work. Has anybody had this problem?

Have you checked the wiring / have power to the light? I'd recommend looking at the wiring harness at the point where the trunk lid and trunk meet, there have been multiple issues posted due to wire breaks, shorts etc...

Thanks. I will take a look this weekend. Someone told me it may be the BCM?

Possibly - is there a switch of sorts near the brake pedal that controls this?

TheShadow Knows! Thanks for the hint. Found a broken wire in the harness. Added a piece that could take the motion, shrink wrapped and taped. Works great.
