Tuesday night when I went to start my car you could tell that the battery was worn down, it did start and I drove it home (about 5 miles), then Wednesday morning when I went to start my car it would not start, you could hear the fuel pump priming the line, but the engine would not crank. I did jump the car and I let it run for about 30 min, when I shut the car off, I let it sit for about two hours and tried to start it up again, nothing, still dead, so I know that the battery was dead. My question is when I jumped the car and let it run, after about 15 min the engine started to idle high, it has never done this before, so I am guessing that maybe because of the weak voltage on the battery, the engine was idling high to compensate. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Sorry, I forgot, it's a 2004 Deville with about 50,000 miles on it. Thanks for the help.
