This is my latest project, I got some new headlights from europe thanks to 'turbomega' with the Euro Reflector and city light, the quality is much much higher then that of the US headlights.

I swapped my RX projectors with some new Cutoff Shields, It took me a good 8hrs of trying to get them to a decent level, I kept trying to bring up that hidden light from the projector but as soon as you lower the shield the center cutoff gets distorted... so I had to make a shield that had a high center point and then sloped down on both sides, but it worked well...

The ballasts are DDM 55W, and the bulbs are DL50s, lenses are E30, and custom shields based on JVX patterns. .

Enjoy!...

(pics are straight from the camera, I think ISO was set at 200)

Well hold your horses, I am working on prepping up 2 sets of these for sale, those will have the AFS version of the projectors, and I am also trying to get the leveling motors to work on them so you can adjust the height from inside your car...

As for price, dont know what it will cost but I will list all the parts went into making them and you guys will give me a price...

I bought the same style headlights from germany.. I have yet to install them.. The only issue I have is the original cover from my U.S. headlights for the h.i.d. bulb does not fit onto the Euro housing.. Where can I get the correct part to fit over my euro lights?

Take a pic of the euro lights and post it on here, I want to take a look at it.

From my knowledge the back part of the housing was universal, and used for all versions, US/Euro/UK both Halogen and HID...

Take a look around the hole there should be 3 posts where screws can be put in to hold the cap on there..

Also did you get HID or Halogen housings... ?

Well looks like you got yourself some HID headlights.... dang where did you find those?

The cap should have three mounting holes that should align with the 3 posts on the back of the housings...

Also from the look of the low beam projector and the yellow sticker, you got some Hella A6 Projectors in those, also found on AUDIs as well...

The projector is not the best but will be nice... it does spread a lot of blue light for the rest of the drivers to enjoy...

Now if you are ever in for some real deal stuff... I say crack them open and throw in some FX or RX projectors... anything 2.5" in diameter will work...

I have 55W system running in my headlights, I saw a great improvement in light output with the 55W system on the A6 projectors as well so you will like what you see.

For now I guess you will be good to go with what you got. I like the housings, if you ever wanna add a personal touch you can paint the chrome trim which can be removed very easily with an oven and a few minutes of your time...

Thanx... I bought them off ebay from a german seller. I payed $414 shipped. I'm not that crazy about having super clear projectors.. Anything thats better than my stockers. My car was involved in a minor accident and thats why I bought these. The only issue is that I don't want to trim the new headlights or my old cover for the xenon bulb that bolts to the back of it. The 3 screw holes line up perfectly but the opening on the housing is just a tad bigger than the cover itself. The yellow sticker is just showing the optional LHD or RHD lever to switch the cut-off from LHD to RHD or vice versa.

I dont understand why your cover doesnt fit the housing... it should fit just fine, mine have a rubber ring (red) that seals up the difference, in my case the cover is larger then the trim on the headlights, and the rubber is there to seal things up, so unless something was bent they should fit without modifications, and should bolt up too... One of my sets came with Halogen stuff... and the HID parts bolted on directly, no problems.

Well fire them up and lets see what the euro Xenons look like... I bet they will be better then the US ones.

I have this kit for sale... if someone is interested please let me know... I have also posted this in the classifieds ...
Its a Digital Slim Ballast Design, With external igniter, extremely small and light weight, the bulb is H1-5000K These have maybe 15min of run time as I tested the light output on the Halogen housings to see if they will be any good...
I have this exact kit in my Low Beams, High Beams and Fogs... it works fantastic.

I think 80$ shipped OBO... I got it a while ago from a website I think it was around 120$ + some shipping... I have no need for it so its got to go..

Pictures are below..

Not very hard, heat the oven to 200° put them in for no more then 5 min grab towels so you dont burn your hands and try to separate the two pieces... if they dont want to separate try 2 more minutes... it should be real easy to split the lens from the back...

THen simply remove the carrier and look on the back side... see how the mounting goes... see if you can use as much of it as possible...

THe RX projectors have only 1 hole so you have to get creative... the TSX ones are sweet they have 4 holes for mounting so those will be easy to retrofit...

JB Weld some bolts from the housing sticking vertically out and then simply use those to mount your projector...

Try to put the front lens as close to the whole as possible. On my car the lens is touching the front part...

Other then that you need to make sure you properly align them so your beam is at horizontal...and you may have to use you car for that alignment...

I say 20$ in parts, 2 Projectors, Ballasts and Bulbs and you will be set...

In all honesty its real simple... and it scares many away but if you take your time and think it through correctly you will be fine...

Hope this helps...

IF you want I can always try and do that for you but you got to take care of the shipping each way...

Well i actually have a set of the projector headlights, got them from that guy who was selling them for a little bit on this site. So i dont think i would need to change projectors. They are like these in this auction but they are the blacked out ones, http://New_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a3Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem4a9785a1bcQQitemZ320369697212QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories. But i am interested in that kit you have for sale, if you still have it. So if i dont need to swap projectors out then it should just be a plug and play thing correct?

Only thing that is throwing me for a curve is that the cateras without the hid option have one main plug that goes into the headlamp, and im curious to see how people have wired them up to make them work.

Well I still have the kit if you want it... PM me... I will give you my paypal and I can have it shipped as soon as tomorrow...

As for your headlights, I will be interested in seeing what the beam is like, most of those after market units have a funky Euro beam that slopes to the right... I hope you got the flat style beam...

From what I have seen on those aftermarket lenses... they have a very nice sharp cutoff beam which will be fantastic with a brigt HID setup... Someone on here has them with an HID and he was quite happy...

THe 5K kit will also make a huge difference... and remember once you go HID you never go back... just to warn you!... LOL
