HID Fogs, 9005 or 9145?

I read that the fogs use 9005, however Sylvania says that it uses 9145.

Which one is it?

Thanks, I'm ordering HID fogs and low beams (The low beams are the one that has the projector installed at the factory, right?)

I'm not sure they all do... If your car didnt come with HIDs in the lowbeams im not sure its the same exact housing as the ones that do.

My car came with HID low beams.
9005 is 9145.

Lowbeams, if you don't have HIDs already, are 9006. And yes, they all have projectors.
type em all in one post ... makes it easier for everyone :)

low beams =
high beams =
fogs =
Low beams = 9006
High = 9005 (i believe)
fog = 9005
Sticky would be awesome, could cover so much ground so new members wouldn't have to search or post new threads.

But nooooooo...
We should just have a topic "CTS FAQs" and get it stickeyed

Yea, I'm eventually gonna make one and see if urb will approve.
I have an 04 CTS and I want to use the PIAA SPARK Blue 7500/8000K bulbs for the high beams. Trying to match the HIDs. Application calls for 9005XS which is the straight connector. Will the standard 9005 work as it is a 90 degree connector. Is there room? Will there be interference or a problem. I have the HID lows. Are the fogs 9005 or 9145 as Sulvania claims?

I would also like to use LED in the tail lamps. I'm sure some of the forum readers have and I am open to recomendations for the LED's and for a different bulb for the high beams. I haven't been on the forum for quite awhile so I am struggling with searching and navigation.
Thanks

anytime
Cadillac Kid, I went to LEDtronics and they have this note displayed below the AUT3156 bulb.

AUT3156 bulbs are keyed
and will not plug into a
3157 socket.

Is my assumption correct that if I get the 3157 in amber, for rear turn, they will stay on? Will the 3157 work properly in the front because of running lights and turn signal in one?
Have you tried the 3156? Filed off the keys maybe? Will it function properly?

Iwould also like to replace the small lights in the corner of the headlight assembly that are a terible yellowish white. I think its a wedge bulb. I'm looking for HID color or blue maybe but in LED?
Thanks again for the help.
