Hello everyone, I am a devoted and life-time Impala SS owner with the mighty LT-1 (I used to belong to BADASSofNE for a short time before work and school took a first hand, I think there is a member here with a FW that belongs to BADASSofNE but im not sure, I also currently belong to NAISSO, National Association of Impala Super Sport Owners, with about 750 posts under my belt) but I have allways loved the STS, so much that I am buying one. I am going to school soon and am selling the Impala for a low mileage STS (I can get a really good deal on one from a friend if I dont find my own) I am getting a 98 or newer STS and my question is, should I put up the extra cash for a 2000 or newer? or are there not many differences from those to the 98-99? I have heared some say that the 2000+ has big susspension upgrades to name just one. Thanks!

Hey Jmac572 - Welcome to the CadillacForums! I don't know that there were "big" suspension upgrades - I do know that at some point there was a change from CVRRS (Continuously Variable Road Sensing Suspension) 1.0 to CVRSS 2.0 and that was said by some to be quite significant. I also believe there were some changes to the Northstar engine to address the oil usage issue. If you can swing it, the best thing IMO would be to get the 2000+ STS with low miles and documented proper maintenance *with* an extended warranty.

Thanks for registering!
