Hey Chuck, To tell you the truth I hadn't read the suggestions forum in quite a while till you snitched yourself out....I had thought of the liability and such and was kind of formulating some ideas to limit that eventuality when Sal contacted me about it. I wasn't upset about it at all. It's just the way things go sometimes in the world. We're not sure at this point what the final result will be but we'll think of something that'll please most everyone. The simple FACT of the matter is....Some People Race! And thats just the way it is. Sometimes when we race we like to tell the story to our peers. In the good old days (So to speak) the story circulated in a realitivly limited region and that was that. NOW, on the other hand we talk about these things in a medium where snivelin' weenies from the car companies can spy on us in a never ending quest to save a nickel and limit our personal freedom. It's more than a little pathetic but it is what it is.....With or without "KILL STORIES" we'll keep talking about what WE want to talk about be it modifications or racing or why they can't seem to improve the quality of certain things no matter what outrageous price they pin on them! I for one will never let some desk monkey at a car company tell me what I can do with MY car. This is still AMERICA! and WE the people can and will do as we please! C-Ya, KC
The only problem with having a "kill stories" section is that so many of the stories posted are just out and out lies. And that leads to arguments.
The other issue is that in a battle of cars, it almost always comes down to the driver. A section for posting time slips and dyno runs might be a nice idea. There's no arguing when the facts are in black & white on paper.

I've read some dubious stories on GMForums before and when the guys get called on it it degrades down to idiocy with guys throwing limited knowledge against reasonably solid arguments. It (Unfortunately) is the nature of the beast!I won't mention any names but you've all read them before.We can do our thing with or without the "KILLS" section. I agree with DEADSled, let's try to keep it energetic here without being all confrontational...It won't work but it shure sounds nice....Don't it?

I like to have spirited discussions and have been known to be a wiseass at times but some of the guys on some of the sites seem to spend a little more time alone than they need to....When you disagree with them or question the claims they make it has a devastating effect on their serenity levels. We don't seem to really have that problem here yet and we all seem to kinda be getting to a good level of understanding of each others attitudes and stuff.I'm sure as time goes on we will have to deal with some idiots and such....Hopefully, Not too many!
