My 07 did that, I put top tier high octane gas in it and hit the highway. Found a quiet stretch and and blew the cob webs out of it. WOT. It stopped. Fuel filter possibly. Or if your in a place that sells a really really bad grade of gas Sounds like the Manuals definition of what happens when you have crappy fuel.

Sorry for the lack of info.
My 06 DTS is getting crappy MPG. City- 8.3, Highway-22.8. A hesitation just started a week ago. If there is a thread that deals with this issue, pleas point me to it.

Thanks for your continued patience and support.

Just discovered that the problem is the ignition coils. Mechanic will determine which is the problem child tomorrow.

Did it throw a miss code P0300?
Did it throw a miss code P0304 telling you're mechanic #4 cylinder?
If it did not throw a miss code why does the mechanic think it is a coil?

It probably is a coil I'm just curious how he found out it was a coil.
