Hello All,

My 2005 Cadillac STS V6 comes with the following tire sizes:

Front: 235 50 17
Rear: 255 45 17

If I got some steel rims for winter, would I be able to install 235 50 17 all around without impacting ABS, SC sensors?

Would I be able to install 16 inch tires on steel rims as long as the circumference remained the same? basically less rim, more tire?

Yea, the circumference will/can affect the reported speed; if all tires (circumference) are equal then your traction control will function properly. If you want to go with 16's, you'll need to make sure there is enough clearance for the brake calipers (in the wheels).

Check what brakes you have....

I don't believe there are steelies that will clear JE5 brakes

ALL 16"s wont clear JE5... must be 17"+
JL9 can fit 16"s

A lot of Dodge Charger & Chrysler 300 fleet/police cars are showing up and I think their rims fit. Take care because the STS lug pattern is 5x115 and even though a lot of members have success fitting spacers, etc. you are better off not messing with them if there's not need.
