I have a 2020 CT6 Luxury with about 57k. I drove my car all day yesterday, like always. My husband drove it last night & when he pulled in the garage I heard a loud noise. Sounds like a fan is still running after car is turned off & is now extremely loud when we turn the car on. We let it sit overnight & when we just cranked it up to head out of town we noticed it's still doing it. Has anyone had this problem or know what it could be?

This isn’t CT6 specific, but I had that issue on my Chevy Traverse last summer… cooling fan kept running after car was shut off. Turns out the car was doing its job. My coolant was low in the radiator, so the engine was running hotter than normal (and staying too hot after turning the car off) and that extra fan action was kicking in as a result.

It’ll probably help if you can verify which fan is running after engine shutoff, if the issue continues. If it’s one of the front radiator fans, I’d check the coolant level first.

Here’s a related thread that might help:2017 CT6 3000 miles, loud cooling fan running every time...

Is there a check engine light on? Have you checked the coolant level in the radiator?
A very common cause of your problem is a bad coolant temperature sensor. Most auto parts stores have a device they can plug into the car and check for problems. Even if there is no check engine light there may be a fault code set in the vehicle.
