I had installed my volant last week and was looking through the FAQ and noticed that StealthV's MAF was installed at the 2'oclock position when looking from the passenger side and the plastic seperator in the tube was horizontal. My MAF is at the 10 o'colck position and the seperator is vertical. Does this make any difference? The Volant instructions are worthless in this area. I have it apart, awaiting an answer

As I recall, StealthV pointed out at that time that his install showed a less-than-desirable MAF position (i.e. "2 o'clock") since it stretched the wire a bit. My Volant install has the MAF at the "10 o'clock" position as well. I suspect that Volant made this correction, possibly after Rick made mention of it back then. Of course, because Rick's fell off the back of a truck, it could have been damaged or altered as a result.

No it does not make a difference and the 10 o'clock position is what you want for the correct wire length. The 2 o'clock position really streatched the wire to the MAF.
