I have a 97 Deville, and I need to remove the interior passenger door panel in order to get a damaged place repaired or replaced.

I am concerned about the side air bag.

How would you go about removing the panel without damaging or setting off the airbag.

Is there any documentation or diagrams available on the net to help a do it yourselfer tackel this job?

Im not sure, is the side airbag actually inside the door panel? You may just take out the fuse. I wouldnt worry about deploying the airbag, though.

Any more help or details for this guy? I can't answer this question but I'm sure someone must have done this before...
