Maggie guys, hopefully you'll know this: need a part number or just size info for a serpentine belt for a Magnacharger with a 2.8" front pulley.

Thanks!

Thanks Lynden!
Just saw this...but heavy beat me.

One J&C to go and then off comes old maggie and on with the new. Can't decide whether to stick with the 2.6 pulley or go back to 2.8???

I wish...just the same old 112, albeit with yet a DIFFERENT jackshaft design

Go to the 2.8" pulley with the bigger crankshaft pulley. :)
Got her all bolted on, took her for a spin, got a CEL, cleared it, and found something else.

The IC pump is running - but not pumping. My guess is the impeller disentegrated or ??? This explains why I've been feeling *heat soak* lately.

Any idea on where to get a new one (I'll call Magnuson in the morning)?

WW
Thanks Rick.

Not sure which one I need though...I'm going to contact Magnuson first. There are some good choices here, too:

I'd get the Gatorback belt if I were you #4061037
Triple the Gatorback recommendation.

Hey guys, digging up an old thread because I discovered today I've been running a 61010 belt all along...which I believe makes it shorter than the 61037. Today, I realized the s/c pulley isn't aligned as well as I would like, so I'll be addressing that tomorrow morning. The belt shows a little more wear than I'd expect after <500 miles, and in fact is nearly a 5.5 rib belt (1/2 rib on the engine side of the pulleys is missing.

Thoughts? Should I switch to the presumably longer 61037?

I believe my belts have been wearing quicker than otherwise expected as well. I will be reviewing my pulley "line-up" this week & will be asking various experts their thoughts.
My belt has been jumping onto the lip, which is not a good sign.

The last belt did that before it shredded and took out a piece of the hoodliner
3 belts this morning. Straight edge across the pulleys indicated the maggie pulley (2.9") is set closer to the engine than the idler pulley is by about 3/16". So, I moved it out (loosened the nut and used a puller to suck it out on the shaft). Installed brand new 61037 this time, took it out, standing start wind up in first and right about 6,200 RPM (towards the top of 1st) I heard the belt jump, just before I shifted.

Crap. The car is sold to a very nice man in Texas and I want it to be perfect for him. I changed the oil, checked all other fluids, and decided to take it out and thoroughly test for issues since I'm running the Magnuson supplied tune again. No issues except now it doesn't like to keep the belts intact. The belt is jumping forward towards the radiator - but it is the engine block side of the belt that gets chewed up.

I hate mod-hell :banghead:
