I agree, it looks like a UUC (which is what I have). It should bolt right in without anything else, although it would be very wise to install some Creative Steel shifter rail bushings while you're in there.

I'm curious what that knob is on there, and if it's threaded on or what? Do you have the part in hand, or is this something you're considering buying (and just trying to do some research before you make an offer)?

I have a uuc in one car and a stock modified in another. The stock one feels way better to me. Same bushings on both. I did the modification where i used to work at. My next move is to go to the hurst. I think you can get the modified one from Brian for $150. Im not sure on that though. you would need to contact him. Btw he is not here anymore.

I got it for $100, figured I would give it a try. It feels pretty good. I should have swapped out that large plastic cup though. The one on my stock shifter felt a little tighter. I had to swap the guy my stock shifter though. I now just have to figure out how to get the shift knob off. It is stuck. I have put it in 2nd...tried reverse...tried everything. It does not come off like my stock one did. Any ideas?

Assuming it snaps on like the stock knob, as you're trying to pull the knob off, simultaneously try to twist it around the shift lever. I've found that pops it loose.
