(I'm hope that I am on the proper forum.) I'm looking for a power steering pump off of a '93 or '94 Northstar engine for my Eldorado. I'm not sure when but some time after these years the low-pressure fitting on the reservoir became forward-facing (it points toward the front of the car). This is the what I have on my replacement pumppresently and I have had to jerry-rig the existing hose to make it reach the nipple. I want the original one where the fitting on the reservoir for the rubber hose comes out facing the side of the car. I have tried local yards as well as Internet-generated yards and have had zero success. I'm hoping that someone here has one that they would sell to me.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: I do not need a working pump, all I really want is the correct reservoir, so I'll buy anything with said reservoir.

Thanks,
Jim

I think the A1-Cardone 20-45881 part is what he needs for a 93 ETC, and yes it is a remanufactured pump. It goes for $81 at www.rockauto.com. Also possible is AC-Delco (OEM) part number 36516240 for the pump without the fluid reservoir or AC-Delco number 36516362 that does include the reservoir. I found the Delcos for $72 and $80, respectively, also at www.rockauto.com. The only thing I can find on www.gmpartsdirect.com is a "power steering pump assembly" for $267. Their catalog system really sucks.

I see now that he only really needs the reservoir. I can't find one listed separately anywhere. You might have to call a salvage yard. I've bought parts before from Fierge Auto Parts in Quincy, Illinois and they were good to work with. I'm not sure if they'd have what you need or not, but you can contact them at www.fierge.com or 1-800-252-9025.

Thanks to all who took the time to write, and even send pics (!). I do need the PS reservoir on which the plastic tube comes out the FRONT, not the side. Since I put a brand new GM pump ($285.00) on the car, but with the "wrong" reservoir, I'd like to fine a used one rather than spend $81.00 or so at NAPA.
