hello. bought used northstar. ignition problems on dash panel.also no rpm showing on the dic .Engine stays reved up . are the sensor from 1995 concours different from 1996 sedan deville.IF SO CAN I USE THE SENSORS FROM MY OLD ENGINE AND WHICH ONES CONTROL RPMS

95 is OBDI 96 is OBDII. There were a number of significant changes between these 2 years when it comes to the engine. Sorry I don't have anything specific for you but the DIC should get RPM information from the PCM I believe...

Why was the engine changed?. You need the controls and sensors on the 96 intake manifold and throttle body change only if there is NO debris fron the old engine in the manifold !!.other wise replace with a clean one to prevent damage to the replacement engine sts96

241000 miles was on the old engine so it through a rod.i got a used motor from salvage from a 1995 concours mine is 1996 deville can i change the sensors to control the rpms and idle.
